There are some combinations of food that just taste good together. Cheese and crackers. Peanut butter and celery. Tuna salad and mashed potatoes. What? You mean not every family ate those two items together? It is actually quite delicious (and fun to mold). Another classic combination is donuts and coffee. Over at the Cupcake Bakeshop, Cheryl has reimagined that traditional pairing by turning it into a cupcake (topped by a small, homemade donut). She is one of those bloggers who's food photography makes me drool every so slightly each time she puts up a new post.

Two of my favorite junk foods in one delicious treat. Nothing wrong with this combo! I am excited about it!

I like making peanut butter and cream cheese sandwiches. When I was younger, I reasoned that, since PB and jelly tasted so good together and cream cheese and jelly tasted so good together, that PB and cream cheese must taste good together. Sure enough, they do. I don't know whether this "food equality" works across more than just PB&CC though.

I was just in London on vacation, and there were tons of places selling stuffed baked potatoes, which they called jacket potatoes. You know what filling was on every menu I saw? Tuna and sweet corn niblets. I thought it was revolting-sounding and that nobody would eat it, but I saw people eating tuna and corn stuffed potatoes at least four times, so it must be popular. So I guess you're not so weird! Not something I'd try anytime soon, though . . .
