When I was a kid and my parents would take me out to fast food (a very infrequent occurrence) there were always strict limits on what I could order. I was allowed a small burger (although my mother preferred that I get a chicken sandwich) and milk. Soda and french fries were not allowed (these rules did not apply to my father, and so I would beg a few fries and a sip of his root beer). I would always promise myself that when I was older and able to order my own food, I'd get whatever I wanted.
As I've gotten older, I haven't really kept that promise to myself, mostly because fast food just doesn't taste as good to me as it once did (and I don't want to die by the age of 40). However, somebody out there kept that childhood promise, and did so by ordering a Whopper with 15 additional orders of bacon, for an additional cost of $9. They certainly took the term bacon burger to a higher level than has been seen before. For more pictures of this slightly insane sandwich, head over to about:blank.

If I had been working in the back, I would have hollered, "What the Hell?" too. This is funny in a very disturbing way.
I overate at burger joints all the time when I was younger but never to this extreme. Even then, there was a limit to how much bacon I could force my stomach to accept.
My excesses were more like double meat, double cheese whoppers with mayonnaise only. Okay, I ate them two at a time with fries and a shake but for Heaven's sake I was a Navy SEAL at the time!
I was all muscle and attitude with 0% body fat. I worked too hard for any of those calories and grams of fat to settle in permanently.

After a very half-assed, but thoroughly enjoyable impromptu bacon tasting I once held for myself, I found that I enjoy the taste of that good ole' standard, Oscar Mayer bacon the best--well done and extra crunchy, crispy, of course.
However, I find that putting bacon into a steaming hot sandwich with steaming hot meats a/o vegetables makes the bacon, somehow, much less appealing than when eaten alone or in a simple BLT sandwich. If you compound this by the fact that fast food joints use the most god-awful, rubbery, insufferably salty, un-crispable, pressed round "bacon" disc that's both one poly-hydro-nano-carbon (or some such thing) away from being plastic, and also one from being a Beggin' Strip disc for my dog to gnaw on after sniffing on other dogs' butts all day long--then this, to me, is the most terrible, horrible thing you could do to a perfectly decent Whopper, and to your body for that matter! UGH!!! atrocious!!!
Now, if I had the guts to stack up 15 pieces/layers of well done crunchy/crispy-brown Oscar Mayer bacon for a BLT...? Then I would have to say that my childhood promises to myself of a life lived with unbridled gluttony would be fantastically and gloriously acheived.
Oh well, back to the carrots, celery, and the painful time to look forward to at the gym tonight. oh yeah, and the LT's-only. hold the mayo. . ...and the bread.

Oh god, I got a "too much salt headache" from just looking at that monster.
That couldn't have tasted good, why not just pour open a bag kosher salt on your tongue and call it a day?

Call me gross if you want, but the idea of a mountain-sized stack of bacon on top of a burger sounds utterly fantastic to me. Not something I'd ever consider eating on a regular basis, but I'd happily enjoy it as a special occasion. :)
